OA Digital had an article printed in the Spring 2009 edition of "Pinpoint", the magazine for the Location and Timing Knowledge Transfer Network.

In it we discussed our parent company's "Open Approach" to archaeology and the trials and benefits this has brought. We also talk a little about the Openmoko phones and GvSIG Mobile, Portable GIS, and our Geospatial Stack. The newsletter is freely available online here

OA Digital spoke at the recent Institute for Archaeologists Conference in the session "'I'm on a train!' New technologies and the historic environment". Our presentation introduced technologies being developed by OA Digital for Oxford Archaeology; mobile on-site digital recording and mobile GIS.

The session was organised by John Schofield of English Heritage and was both well attended and exceedingly well executed. OA Digital's paper is available for download here.

Further presentations are available in our research section.
